Emily Steliotes, MS, ACC, GCDF

Emily Steliotes, MS, ACC, GCDF is a master’s-level scientist, an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-certified coach (ACC), and a certified career development professional (GCDF). Emily helps ambitious professionals, ranging from early career professionals to executive leaders, take the next step in their careers with clarity and confidence. She is known for blending strategy with a supportive, practical approach—helping clients achieve career-defining results such as landing roles they love, stepping into leadership, advancing to senior positions, pivoting into new industries, and building their own ventures. Emily has facilitated an acclaimed job search group, led professional development programs, and coached hundreds of clients one-on-one.

Her journey as a career development professional began in 2019 at the University of California, Davis as an instructor and mentor for the Career Discovery Groups program. Over the years, she has continued to support the career development of UC Davis students including as a consultant for the GradPathways Institute for Professional Development, a workshop facilitator for the Davis Alt Protein Project, and a mentor for the ESTEME (Equity in STEM and Entrepreneurship) program. She has also been a volunteer career mentor at her alma mater, Tufts University, for many years.

In July 2020, Emily pursued training through the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and launched her first career coaching brand, College Iris, which was dedicated specifically to helping students transition from higher education to the workplace with clarity and confidence. In April 2022, Emily began building a group coaching practice with the passionate and dedicated women at Golden Acorn.

Practicing what she preaches, Emily has built a portfolio career and personal brand that allows her leverage her strengths and incorporate many of her interests and passions. In addition to her background in career and professional development, Emily is an accomplished STEM and sustainability professional with experience in: food, health, and environmental sciences; corporate social responsibility and sustainable business; and data management and informatics research.

As part of the Golden Acorn Coaching Team, Emily offers 1:1 career, life, and leadership coaching sessions as well as co-facilitates the acclaimed job search coaching & support group. Her clients value her expertise in job search strategy, authentic networking, personal branding, and in helping them stay accountable and prioritize effectively to reach their goals.
